A Facebook mobile text is a feature of the public networking site where you can receive messages, position updates and notifications from your friends. You have two methods to stop the text message service if you no longer wish to use it. The first choice involves signing into your Facebook account from a pc and going to the settings area. The other method is to send a de-activation message to the chosen Facebook short code number. Whichever you select, you can permanently turn off Facebook mobile alerts.
- Mobile Tab
Log in to your Facebook account and press the “Account” option from the upper navigation bar.
Choose “Account Settings” from the sub-menu and press the “Mobile” tab.
Locate the “Facebook Manuscript Messages” section. Click the “Off” radio button below the “Texts Are” option.
Click “Save Favorites” to save your choice and disable Facebook mobile manuscripts.
Disable via Manuscript Message
Compose a new text memo on your cell phone.
Enter “32665,” which is Facebook’s short cipher number, in the recipient’s number field.
Kind “Off” (without the quotation marks) in the body field.
Choice or press “Send” to disable the mobile alerts. Facebook will by design send back a confirmation manuscript message that the service is de-activated.
